Cnidarians is a continuing series about embracing the many timbral qualities that can be found in every one instrument. Each instrument is made up of a colony of small different sounds, not unlike the polyps that make up members of the Cnidaria phylum, such as coral and jellyfish. Each track on this album is made up of little polyps of sound that come together to form a breathing, organic whole. Each of these installments is meant to be listened to as an experiment in sound rather than a fully formed whole.

Synth is something a little different; the tonal possibilities are much more immense as each synth is made of many different polyps of sound and tone. As a result, this iteration of the series is more colorful than the rest. Peaceful yet burbling, this is a unique entry in the Cnidarians canon.
